“Cappy’s Galloping March” is a spirited march perfect for young bands. The piece is inspired by “Cappy,” a cherished horse owned by a friend of the composer. Cappy was known for his gentle temperament and insatiable appetite, often seen sneaking bites of grass along the trail. Though the smallest among his stablemates (Sassy and Spirit), he frequently served as a reliable pack horse, carrying supplies on mountain trails for over 30 years. This march pays tribute to his vibrant spirit and the joy he brought to every journey.
